Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2026 opened at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, or BITEC, on Wednesday, alongside Bio+ HealthTech INTERNATIONAL 2026 and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL 2026.
Together, the three events are bringing laboratory technology, biotechnology, health technology and the chemical industry into a single business and knowledge platform under the concept of an “ASEAN Scientific Innovation Ecosystem”.

Panadda Kongma, Vice President – Business at VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., described the development as a shift towards an international platform connecting several scientific and industrial sectors.
“Over the past 16 years, Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL has evolved from a laboratory technology exhibition into an international platform connecting science, biotechnology, health, and chemistry,” she said at the opening ceremony.
According to Ms Panadda, the objective is no longer simply to put new technologies on display.
The exhibitions are designed to connect manufacturers with buyers, researchers with industry and technology providers with potential partners — relationships that organisers hope can lead to knowledge exchange, business matching and new collaborations with practical applications.
The idea reflects one of the recurring challenges facing scientific innovation: developing a technology is only one part of the process.
Research may begin in a laboratory, but turning that research into something that can be manufactured, funded, distributed or used by industry requires a much wider network.
